My goal is to help you achieve optimum health and wellness. Through working with my patients I have seen the impressive results that acupuncture and Chinese medicine can have. I am grateful to be able to share the benefit of my extensive education with you. My background includes training not only in acupuncture, but in a wide array of Chinese medicine modalities. I am licensed by the state of New York and recognized by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM).

Your unique health care situation is of the utmost importance to me. I am happy to answer any questions you may have regarding how acupuncture and Chinese medicine can benefit you. Together we can work toward achieving your health and wellness goals.

I primarily utilize two principle styles of acupuncture - what is commonly called "Balance Method" acupuncture utilizing classical meridians in the tradition of Dr. Richard Tan and Master Tung, as well as Contemporary Medical Acupuncture which uses "dry-needling" techniques with a modern understanding of the nervous and muscular systems, motor points, and trigger points. I am very thankful to master teacher Eileen Han, one of the founders of Si Yuan Acupuncture, for her guidance and tutelage in the Balance Method. With regard to contemporary medical acupuncture and electrical stimulation, I give special thanks to Rich Hazel, L.Ac. for his guidance and to Canadian chiropractic physician Anthony Lombardi for his work in muscular assessment and treatment utilizing contemporary acupuncture strategies and electrical stimulation of inhibited musculature.

I have developed a unique style of treatment that takes advantage of my extensive experience in massage and bodywork and my training in classical Chinese meridian theory. My style of bodywork utilizes the balancing and harmonizing functions of the acupuncture meridians and points, while still being defined by a thorough understanding of the underlying musculoskeletal anatomy and finely-honed palpation skills.

Each session is tailored to the individual needs of the patient, and may include tongue and pulse diagnosis, muscle testing, cupping therapy, electro-stimulation of acupuncture points or muscles, and manual myofascial techniques in addition to acupuncture.
